This year marks a truly special milestone for us — Wee Chicks is turning 10!

What began as a small idea rooted in care, learning, and community has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Over the past decade, we’ve supported hundreds of children and families through our childcare, wellbeing, and community programmes. And now, we’re proud to take the next big step in our journey — the official launch of the Wee Chicks Family Charity.

From Small Beginnings to a Big Impact

Wee Chicks began with a simple but powerful idea — to create a warm, nurturing space where children could learn and grow, and where parents could feel supported and connected.

That idea came to life through our founder, Kelly Molloy, whose journey into childcare began when she became a mother herself. Experiencing the challenges of balancing work, family, and wellbeing, Kelly decided to become a childminder, offering a safe and creative environment where children could thrive and parents could have peace of mind.

From those early days in her own home, her passion for helping families quickly grew. She saw how much difference quality childcare and genuine community support could make — not just for children, but for the wellbeing of entire families. What started as a one-woman effort  soon blossomed into a community-led organisation with a big heart and even bigger vision.

Over the years, Wee Chicks has delivered childcare programmes, wellbeing workshops, parenting support, and community outreach projects that have touched lives across Northern Ireland.

At the heart of everything we do is our belief that early years care and family wellbeing are the foundation of a strong community. We’ve seen firsthand how a safe, creative, and caring environment helps children thrive — and how supporting parents can transform family life.

10 Years of Learning, Growth, and Connection

Ten years is a long time — and when we look back, we’re filled with gratitude and pride.

We’ve grown our childcare and learning programmes, creating spaces where children can play, explore, and discover their confidence.
We’ve supported parents and carers, offering guidance, community connections, and wellbeing opportunities.
We’ve built partnerships with local organisations, schools, and businesses that share our passion for supporting families.
We’ve adapted and evolved, finding creative ways to meet the changing needs of families — through challenging times and joyful ones alike.

Every success, every smile, and every small moment of progress has been made possible by the people who’ve believed in us — our dedicated team, our families, and our community.

Launching the Wee Chicks Family Charity

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also stepping into a brand-new chapter.

The Wee Chicks Family Charity has been created to expand the reach and impact of our work.

Through our new charitable status, we’ll be able to access more opportunities to fund projects that make a real difference — from early learning initiatives and wellbeing programmes to family support and community development.

Our vision is to ensure that every child and family, no matter their background or circumstance, has access to the care, learning, and wellbeing support they deserve.

The charity will allow us to:
