Project
Wee Chicks Empowerment Programme is designed primarily, for teachers, parents and the children.
The overall objective of this programme is to allow children to become more aware of their own mental health; to identify and talk about their emotions and to give them the tools and strategies in order for them to build stronger minds, for a healthier future.
We want to help children become more aware of who they are as a person and help them develop themselves through daily activities. This is a way for children to release their emotions and find a healthy coping mechanism instead of turning to other behaviours.
Wee Chicks Empowerment Project aims to help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage i.e. in schools, where they can be in a safe environment, learning the tools and strategies to recognise and deal with their emotions. Thus, improving their knowledge and identifying a wealth of help and support networks and organisations readily available to them, whatever their stresses or worries may be. This will in turn, work towards overcoming issues which communities are faced with, removing the stigmatism around mental health and actually asking for help.
